Below I have included the projects that I am working on or have completed in the past along with my work experience. I have also included my programming experience, resume, and a link to my GitHub profile.
Projects Programming Experience Resume GitHubI took part in the engineering design competition at CBU where my team and I developed three vehicles used to accomplish various tasks in the Orbomania competition. My role in this project was to code the EV3 robot so that it could drive and maneuver around the arena and I was one of the drivers on competition day. We placed second overall for the competition out of ten teams which my team and I were proud of.
In my previous fall semester course, software engineering, I completed various coding projects where they were submitted to GitHub and went through a series of tests before they were considered complete and functional. Above is one of the projects called 'babynames' which is a program that allows you to input a name and gender and will search through data from the Social Security Adminsitration to show you the popularity of the given name since the 1890's.
I have also worked at an auto shop where I was an apprentice and spent most of my time following the techs and learning the process for various car repairs like oil changes, brake/ rotor changes, and engine repairs. In this picture I am working on a Honda s2000 Engine replacing the sparkplugs and the timing chain.
I have worked for a landscaping company in the past that did jobs ranging from mowing lawns, garden maintenance, and sprinkler repairs, up to large severaly day projects such as backyard pool renovations and replacing grass in backyards. Above is the before and after picture of one of the sod jobs I helped out with which turned out great.
I used to work at a coffee shop in my home town Temecula called Bean Coffee Roasters. They have a main location and also a location within my church and I would work at both. I worked there for a year and a half where I learned about the different types of coffee and how to make specialty drinks. The pictures I took are from my last day working there after I had cleaned the whole place up. I spent countless hours at the workspace in the second picture and it brings back good memories to look back on it.
I have general experience using HTML5 that I obtained from building my own website and understanding how to program it from scratch.
I have beginner experience using css style sheets to make websites more appealing and stylish.
Java is my language of choice and I have been using it my programming for the past year. I use Java to solve problems online and the CS department at my college mainly uses Java for the classes I take.
I have recently started learning python and I am able to use it instead of Java when it allows an easier or cleaner solution.
I have coded in C++ enough to understand the basic rules and syntax and I also have taken a C++ class which I understood and did very well in.
